Today, 100 million people around the world have no place to call home.
"The number of people forced to flee conflict, violence, human rights violations and persecution has now crossed the staggering milestone of 100 million for the first time on record, propelled by the war in Ukraine and other deadly conflicts."
For years, OM has actively responded with love and compassion to refugee crises throughout the world.
Our team was already working in Ukraine when the conflict struck, and we were one of the first responders to the Rohingya refugee crisis that engulfed Bangladesh. We have been working in the Near East for many years and continue to provide vital support to the Syrian refugees who have fled to neighbouring countries.
Our teams work in culturally appropriate ways with local partners, inspiring local believers and empowering local church communities to help, providing hope in the most practical ways.
Your support this tax time will go towards OM teams who are meeting the needs of displaced people from 4 countries hit hardest by conflict and persecution: Ukraine, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Syria.
With your support, we can continue to help those who are displaced to rebuild, or to find a new place to call home – a place where they can live safely and without fear of persecution.
Help us to care for them as they restart their lives, through the provision of essentials items such as:
- emergency shelter in homes and church facilities
- bedding and tents
- food kits
- healthcare and hygiene products
- trauma care
- resettlement support
