Demonstrating the wholistic Kingdom to East African Muslim people
After a short-term trip to Central Asia, Grace felt that God was leading her to serve in a Muslim country in the future.
She started by joining an OM team in Sydney that reaches out to refugees and migrants from Muslim backgrounds. Through that ministry, Grace met her husband Yakim, and they saw God open doors for them into the East African Muslim community in Sydney.
Grace and Yakim moved to East Africa where they served for 10 years in a city where their small team were the only public Jesus-followers. Yakim was employed at the local university through which he built relationships with all of the city’s current and future leaders. Grace, along with their 3 kids, ministered primarily in the neighbourhood for the first 8 years, before the kids moved on to be witnesses at a local school and Grace trained local nurses to do rehabilitation physiotherapy and helped establish the city’s first clinic.

Having worked near the epicentre of Islam for many years, John and Eve have a wealth of experience to share with us. We look forward to hearing from them as they highlight how we can minister to Muslims with the love of Jesus in everyday life.
