When countries begin closing their borders to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Larissa faced a tough decision: to stay or go. She stayed.
We anticipate the heaviest financial impact of COVID-19 will last at least for the next 10 months. A monthly gift for the next 10 months will provide the support our workers need to continue their vital front line ministry.
A one time gift will provide immediate relief to an immediate crisis, and enable OM workers across the world to maintain their outward focus, finding new ways to respect government mandates while still demonstrating God’s love.
Designate your gift to the OM Near East Refugee Crisis Project, where our workers are providing vital support to refugees in a country ravaged by war and economic disaster, and now trying to deal with this pandemic.
Gifts of AUD$2 and over are tax deductible through the OM Overseas Aid Fund ABN 27 182 395 136.
The coronavirus has triggered a global wave of fear and worry. As people’s livelihoods are threatened, and their everyday way of life is transformed through quarantines and self-isolation, there is a worldwide yearning for reassurance and stability. People are looking for someone in authority to tell them everything will be okay.
As believers, we know that the only true source of comfort, peace and hope is Jesus. That’s why we are on a mission to expand the Kingdom during the COVID-19 pandemic. With your help, we can invite those who are lost and afraid to take refuge in God and His church.
People around the world feel lost and afraid amidst the coronavirus pandemic. On a global scale, the need for Jesus has never been greater. With your support, our missions workers will have the resources and stability to continue serving as Christ’s hands and feet in some of the neediest areas of the world.
Your monthly gift of $25 for the next 10 months can help front-line ministry workers like Jane pay their bills and continue ministry in this time.
Jane serves in an area of the Middle East that was previously untouched by the gospel. Through her work over the years, Jane has poured love and care into the villages, building trusted relationships with families.
Now with government restrictions in place due to the threat of COVID-19, Jane’s ministry approach has changed. Her main tool has become the phone. She calls village members to give them words of hope and peace. When they share difficult situations, she prays for them.
Jane will keep showing God’s love to this community as they continue discovering the true nature of who Jesus is and what His followers believe.
Workers like Jane are supported by friends and family all year long, but due to falling financial markets around the world, extra support is needed for basic needs and to enable ministry.
Your one time gift can help our OM workers in the most remote areas continue providing the life-changing Word of God during this season.
Over the years, OM workers have distributed thousands of resources throughout the villages of South Asia, including audio books and Bibles on SD cards. In the current lockdown of these regions, these seeds have found fertile soil in which to take root!
In one village, five witch doctor families began reading and listening to the Bibles and resources while at home due to the lockdown. As a result, the five witch doctors wanted to find out more about Jesus.
After talking with our workers and hearing the gospel, all 28 members of the five families accepted Jesus as their Saviour!
Your gift today will ensure our workers in places like this can continue providing resources and a listening ear to those stuck in lockdown, while respecting government restrictions.

This project works in the refugee camps of a Near East country that does not have the infrastructure to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. Ravaged by war and economic disaster for the past nine years, it now has to deal with this pandemic without any real defense mechanisms.
Despite the restrictions in place, our workers, together with local churches are finding ways to provide refugee families with food packages, health, hygiene and medical assistance as well as winter packages to help them survive the harsh winter conditions.
