Vehicle Fleet Coordinator/Mechanic

Will you be the Vehicle Fleet Coordinator/Mechanic to look after our fleet of 20 plus vehicles? You will be responsible for the regular maintenance of the fleet as well as any associated paper work (such as insurances, and scheduling repairs). If you have mechanic experience, have practical and organizational skills, and pleasant and effective people skills, we would love for you to be part of our team.
All OM staff secure their own funding by private donations.

Main Tasks:
– Maintaining safety inspections, and  insurance
– Recording scheduled car maintenance
– Weekly vehicle maintenance
– Coordinating all new team road training
– Connect with local volunteers for events occurring at Lacken House

Skills:
– Mechanic experience is essential
– Good organizational and administrative skills
– Comfortable driving on the left side and on narrow roads 
– Heavy duty (vehicles with a people carrying capacity of 15) driver’s license is preferable
– Knowledge on Microsoft office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook or willingness to learn. 
– Pleasant and effective people skills

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

As a Carpenter, you work as part of the Maintenance team who is responsible for maintaining adequate and comfort living and working conditions all around the ship. This includes safe and functional interior and furnishing in private, public and work areas, working sanitary spaces, managing fresh and waste water, air conditioning and ventilation, cold spaces, maintain routine check on various equipment and spaces.
In teaching cosmetology to deaf students you will join a team that is empowering and equipping a marginalized people group as they positively impact their lives and those in their families. It will be your job to design and implement lesson plans that will help your students to effectively learn the skills needed to be an excellent hairdresser, make-up artist, and/ or manicurist.
