Donor Relations Officer (M)

-To ensure an excellent donor base of institutional and individual donors, so that the organization has adequate funding for all its efforts.
-To establish, develop and maintain partnerships with a diverse donor base.
This position serves project managers in their communication with donors.

– Establish and develop ongoing relationships with a variety of donors.
– Maintain excellent communication with existing donors.
– Research potential, and develop new relationships with new sources of funding.

Desirable:
-Some donor relations experience
-Knowledge of budgeting
-Excellent written English
-Understanding of proposal and report writing
-Able to work in a team
-Well organized and able to work to a deadline – and encourage others to do so
-Ability to produce professional documents
-Patient
-Willing to learn local language and culture

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

-Provide leadership for both expatriate and local personnel personnel in order to promote good practice in staff recruitment and retention.
-Oversee the on-boarding process of both expatriate and local personnel.
-Maintain adequate staffing levels to ensure the organization can carry out its work effectively.
-Provide a welcoming environment for newcomers.
-Improve skills and efficiency of  Personnel Department and  relationships with home agencies.
