At the OM Lake Tanganyika Field the team members working in the office have a constantly changing set of responsibilities supporting more than 15 projects and ministries along the lakeshore. The team needs a gifted administrator to coordinate the day to day work including planning road and boat trips, team travel, team events, maintaining up to date legal registrations with the government, and effective communication within a team spread into many locations.

  • Requirements
College degree preferred, possibly required for immigration permit. Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel, good organization and communication skills in English required. Ability to enjoy working in a flexible cross cultural  environment. Problem solving skills.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

The position involves producing insightful and engaging content of ministry, culture and people that will be used in print and online publications. The writer will accurately and creatively document how God is working through OM, while encouraging audience engagement with OM through praying for, giving to, or joining missions. OM journalists share stories of God’s work through OM that align with OM’s writing guidelines in a culturally sensitive way. Additionally, participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
