Logos Hope: AV Technician

In our team, we oversee Sound Lighting and video support for the public events and programs run on board and onshore as well as for the internal programs aboard MV Logos Hope. Additionally we are responsible for all deck 4 audio and video systems, and all meeting rooms’ audio and video systems.

What will be your tasks and responsibilities in this role?

• You are responsible for the AV side of events on board, community events, training services and general maintenance of equipment;
• You work closely with onboard events team coordinators, people development members and worship bands;
• You are the one who uses your knowledge and experience to help ship’s company as far as possible with any AV requests;
• You coordinate specific arrangements and design of lights, sound and video for events;
• You will need to have the basic understanding of how to operate all AV equipment and you will recieve further guidance and knowledge in this area;
• You will be performing in a team but you will need to be self motivated and able to teach yourself on a technical level in Lights, Video or Sound.
 
What are the requirements (skills/competences) for this role?

• You have experience with operating sound systems, light systems and video systems in live events (church, school programs etc.);
• You are willing to learn with the resources you are provided with and you will take iniative to further your understanding in one specific AV field;
• You have to be FAT: Flexible, Adaptable and Teachable;
• You are proactive to learn and also to teach others;
• You understand not only that the role demands good time management but also that it involves that you are able to work well on your own; 
• You will have a good relationship with your team and those involved in the event;
• You will look after the equipment and maintain a professional standard in your work.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

As a Carpenter, you work as part of the Maintenance team who is responsible for maintaining adequate and comfort living and working conditions all around the ship. This includes safe and functional interior and furnishing in private, public and work areas, working sanitary spaces, managing fresh and waste water, air conditioning and ventilation, cold spaces, maintain routine check on various equipment and spaces.
For an Electrical Officer we are looking for an skilled Electrical Technician (preferably in the area of Power Production) that has experience in leading and managing a Team. With a minimum of 3 years work experience. Experience in the marine industry would be an advantage but not necessary.
Good interpersonal skills and being a computer literate are vital requirements. You will need to work with MS Office, AutoCAD & and a computer based Maintenance program called AMOS.
The ICT team supports the onboard crew with ICT functions aboard the MV Logos Hope and ensures the systems required to perform those functions are available and functioning correctly.
As a Bakery Team, we produce quality baked items for those in the ship’s community & the local visitors who come to our I-Café and events on board. Our purpose is two-fold; to feed, bless & encourage those serving in the ship’s community, and to provide items creating a hospitable environment to connect with our visitors.
Logos Hope is known as the world's largest floating bookfair and sails from port to port sharing knowledge, help and hope.

We are looking for qualified marine engineers to help keep the ship sailing.

You can also oversee the creation of videos made to meet global campaign needs. Your experience can make an impact.

As part of the Global Video Network under the Video Coach, the Video Producer organises video projects around the world as they relate to OM. The video producer will carry out assignments from pre-production to post-production that are approved by the Creative Traffic Manager, while upholding the OM brand standards as it relates to visual storytelling.

Being a member of the on-board community you will receive spiritual input, while living in an international community and being involved in community activities both on-board and onshore. Will you be the Vehicle Fleet Coordinator/Mechanic to look after our fleet of 20 plus vehicles? You will be responsible for the regular maintenance of the fleet as well as any associated paper work (such as insurances, and scheduling repairs). Skill/gift: Many of the rural mountain villages are home to herds of goats and sheep, many households own a cow or two, on the high altitudes people heard yaks.

We are looking for a vet or person with rich experience in herd health, population, simple practises for people to increase their products from these animals as well as value chain evaluation and possibly supporting small business on village and community level.
