GAP Technology Manager

The Gulf Arabic Program (GAP) has been equipping workers in the Arabian Peninsula with Arabic language skills for 20 years. GAP is transitioning from operating a physical location in Oman to providing online Arabic classes. A team of volunteers is needed to help with various aspects of the school including technology, legal, finance, curriculum development, teacher training, and recruitment.

Ensure a stable, user-friendly online platform that allows the Gulf Arabic Program, Inc. to provide seamless access to excellent Arabic instruction.
• Integrate apps for scheduling, payments, accounting and learning modules (Moodle) to our current website or a new one
• Keep the website current with information provided by various stakeholders
• Resolve technical issues as they arise

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

Developers are urgently needed to work on the software tools provided by the international IT team. These include desktop applications for finance and HR, web applications for our custom intranet solution and integration tools for third party cloud based ERP systems.
Africa is awakening. Opportunities are plentiful, but specialised/skilled personnel are few.
