Go & Live in

The position involves producing insightful and engaging content of ministry, culture and people that will be used in print and online publications. The writer will accurately and creatively document how God is working through OM, while encouraging audience engagement with OM through praying for, giving to, or joining missions. OM journalists share stories of God’s work through OM that align with OM’s writing guidelines in a culturally sensitive way. Additionally, participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
1-2 Years
Part Time
As soon as possible
This would be a part time role, and you would also be involved in local ministry (according to your gifts and interests this could be with the poor, youth, refugees, church work etc)
You would work with other team members to produce articles for the web page and social media,as well as the country newsletter.
We ask all team members to make an effort to learn Greek while living in the country, though the communications work would be in English.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

Interested?

Do you have experience in project promotion, proposal writing or financial development?  Are you interested in contributing to a communications platform, which will facilitate transformation of lives in one of the poorest and most densely populated municipalities in Europe? Are you a writer or photographer with a heart to come alongside the poor and represent strategies or stories of hope to the wider world?
With a population of 83 million, of whom 99% are lost, how do you find the key people who will bring Jesus to their own family, friends and community. One way that we are trying to find these Persons of Peace (POP) or Households of Peace is through Social Media advertising and creative formats such as Instagram, Facebook posts and Youtube videos. This is a small piece to a larger Media to DMM (M2DMM) initiative that is seeking to disciple and multiply VCJFs throughout all of Turkey.
