On board Journalist – Logos Hope

Help tell the stories of the Ship Ministry to a global audience! Working with the Marketing and Communications teams on board and on shore, you will be responsible for:
- Researching, interviewing and writing finished text materials for web and print use.
- Writing, editing and proof reading text for other projects.
- Archiving written materials.
The job involves working closely with the ship photographer.

Job Requirement:
- A creative team player with ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
- Relevant qualification and/or a proven track record in journalism or similar.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent English ability, both in spoken and written form.
- A team of supporters who will ensure your financial sponsorship while with the Ship Ministry.

Being part of the on board community you will receive personal input through daily team devotions and other ship events as well as the opportunity to experience the culture of the international crew and staff and the countries the ship visits. All the crew on board work voluntarily – the position is not salaried.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

• Support and development of our web presence
• Active and creative design of the content in consultation with the affected personnel
• Carrying out maintenance work and security updates
• Troubleshooting
• Designing high-performance campaigns in close cooperation with the social media manager

OM is mobilising young Jesus followers to join our international team and serve and experience ministry in Ireland. We are open to have interns come from 2 weeks to 6 months, or even up to a year! Dates are flexible, although there might be more opportunities to help in other ministries during the spring/summer.
