Working with marginalized / Sinti and Roma

How do you feel when you see children instead of going to school, collecting plastic bottles to have enough to eat?  Would you like to be part of making a difference? Could you see yourself loving and teaching them, sharing God´s word of hope? OM Albania has a ministry aimed at these people, the Emanuel Center.
2 Years
Full Time
As soon as possible
In Lushnje, we have been running the Emanuel Centre for 15 years, reaching out to Sinti and Roma families. They are mostly illiterate and very few have jobs. So, they go to collect plastic bottles or beg. The children are forced to do the same if they want to eat and because of this they have almost no rights in Albanian society. They aren't thinking of the future – they live day by day.

We offer kids clubs and women's Bible studies and visit them in their houses to share God´s hope with them. In summer, we run evangelistic camps. We need people who like to play football with the boys or hang out with the girls and can be an example for them.

We are now moving this ministry to a new location in Vlore to reach out to others. We are in need of people who would like to help pioneer this endeavor.

You will need:
– Willingness to learn Albanian
– Humility
– Flexibility
– A love for people and for sharing the Gospel with them
– Knowledge of leading a Bible study
– Willingness to be a homework assistant
– Sport skills
– Playing the guitar would be nice
– An outgoing personality and find joy in making new relationships

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

Since our beginnings, we have been driven by a deep conviction that everyone should have the opportunity to hear the gospel at least once. Sadly, there are still thousands of peoples and communities that have never heard about Jesus, ever. We are looking for people with a passion for Jesus and a passion to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached. We focus on evangelism, discipleship and church planting among those who have never yet heard of Christ.
Calling all Arabic speakers!!! Syrian refugees have flooded into Turkey. Churches and workers are distributing food regularly, building trust and showing good will. But who will share the gospel in their own language? We need evangelists; those who can share DBS; and simply those who have a heart for Syrians and can comfortably converse in Arabic. Turkey needs you!
Since our beginnings, we have been driven by a deep conviction that everyone should have the opportunity to hear the gospel at least once. Though many people in Lesotho call themselves Christians, few have received biblical teaching or heard the gospel clearly. Join the team for exciting times of evangelism with children, youth, adults during village home visits. Grow in your walk with God and develop relationships within an international team and local people alike. All activities in the Lesoth
