Logos Hope: 2nd & 3rd Engineers

Logos Hope is known as the world's largest floating bookfair and sails from port to port sharing knowledge, help and hope.

We are looking for qualified marine engineers to help keep the ship sailing.

Required Qualifications:
STCW III/1 Marine Engineering
STCW V/3 Crisis Management and Human Behaviour
1-2 Years

In Port
Work under the leadership of the 1st Engineer and taking full responsibility for maintenance work performed on assigned machinery. 
Perform on-call day and night duties as stipulated by the 1st Engineer in the Engineer’s Duty Roster. Whilst performing such duties, he shall ensure that the Watch keeping Motormen conduct their watches efficiently and are fully aware of their responsibilities and that any particular work given to them by the 1st Engineer is completed satisfactorily. He shall also answer any calls from the Watch keepers for advice or assistance.
Ensure that all records of maintenance, running hours and spares are entered into the computerised planned maintenance and stores system for the equipment under his care.

At Sea
.1 Performing watch keeping duties in the various machinery spaces as required by the Chief Engineer and to be responsible to him for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and systems in his care.
.2 Ensure that the various Machinery Spaces logbooks are filled in correctly to the requirements of the Chief Engineer.
.3 As necessary, complete the various checks indicated on the sailing and arrival in port checklists.

Emergency Responsibilities

Carry out duties as assigned on the Emergency Station Bill. 
Participating in emergency drills, including Fire and Abandon Ship, and other ISM required training and drills.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

The ICT team supports the onboard crew with ICT functions aboard the MV Logos Hope and ensures the systems required to perform those functions are available and functioning correctly.

ust outside Brussels, in a town called Zaventem, OM has an internationally used conference facility called ZavCentre. ZavCentre provides up to a full board stay for missionaries traveling through, OM groups' meetings, local Christians and others. Our center has around 70 beds and 5 small and large meeting rooms. Besides the conference center, OM wants to help the local church in reaching their purpose for Christ.

Skill/gift: Many of the rural mountain villages are home to herds of goats and sheep, many households own a cow or two, on the high altitudes people heard yaks.

We are looking for a vet or person with rich experience in herd health, population, simple practises for people to increase their products from these animals as well as value chain evaluation and possibly supporting small business on village and community level.
