In Durres, OM Albania has started to work with children after school so that these children can do well at school and understand the material. Often times these children are not encouraged to do their homework by their parents, and have no future dreams at all. As most of the parents never went to school themselves, the children can not simply ask their parents for help or encouragement.

Recently we have begun to work with some families, giving the children after school help with homework. The reason why this is so critical is because often the children who are already in fourth grade can not read or write, and have no future goal in mind, and simply want to become garbage collectors like their parents. Our hope in this ministry is not only to help these children in school, teaching them how to do homework or how to read, but we also want to teach them what it means to dream, what it means to take on a proffession and having hope in the future.

Therefore, we are looking for someone who is willing to sit down with these children, from different age groups, and teach them. The subjects vary from math to science, depending on the day. This person would need to have a heart for serving, a heart for children, patience to work with these kids and a willingness to learn Albanian.

This is not a paid position, financial support will need to be raised for life on the field.
