OM  in the Latin America  Area seeks to expand our operations in order to meet the challenge of sending 2000 Latinos to the unreached, we are seeking someone to provide financial expertise in processes, training, analysis and reporting. You will play a key role in providing the Area Leadership Team with financial information and advice, as well as supporting all the fields and field leadership in the LAM Area, via the finance staff in each country, and being the point of contact for other Area.

The Chief Finance Officers a vital and key role for the  Area, which will help us to better plan, practise and monitor our financial operations at an Area level and ensure that the same is achieved at field level. Requirements:
-Able to effectively communicate financial information to non-finance people.
-Minimum of 5 years work experience in accounting, finance or economics. 
-A  proven  track  record  of  financial  management,  responsible  for  systems implementation, oversight and management of a finance department.
-A proven record of risk assessment and mitigation.-One who has reported directly to the leader of a company or organisation. 
-Ability to understand and work with details and processes-Ability to learn quickly and to explain clearly.
-Ability to relate well with people, and to understand their needs and hindrances-Be flexible and adaptable -Proficiency in English
-Proficiency in Spanish/Portuguese(or willing to learn)
-Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
-Available to travel within and outside of Latin America when required.

Support: OM is a voluntary organization. As such, all workers are expected to raise their own financial support. More information will be provided on application.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

OM is mobilising young Jesus followers to join our international team and serve and experience ministry in Ireland. We are open to have interns come from 2 weeks to 6 months, or even up to a year! Dates are flexible, although there might be more opportunities to help in other ministries during the spring/summer.

Your Tasks
• Leading the finance department (including financial statements)
• Assisting in preparing the annual budget
• Donation accounting (entries, clarifications, thank-you letters)
• Administration of local and global project financing
• Maintaining contacts with authorities, partners and donors
• Lead personnel and further their development
