You love sharing your faith, and you’ve grown up digital. Social media is your native environment, and you’re brimming with ideas about how to share your faith. OM in Belgium is looking for an online evangelist who is ready, able and willing to invest a year in reaching the least reached right where they are: in front of their smartphones, tablets and computers. No qualifications required—except that you love Jesus, you love people, and you LOVE social media.

You’re the person that squirms when the preacher warns of the dangers of social media. You facepalm when someone tries to explain that Snapbook and Twittime are undermining the traditional values of right-thinking believers. You don’t care if people are trans, bi-, gay, straight, black, white, male, female, young, old, or all of them at once. You’re not constantly terrified that someone is going to hack your microwave oven and use it to beam messages from the government into your brain. TL:DR? You’re smart, sassy, fun, and even a little bit funky.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

OM in Belgium is looking for a street evangelist. If that’s you, you don’t need any further explanation. If it isn’t you, further explanation is too much.

A friendly smile is all you need to strike up a conversation. You love people, and you love Jesus. Whether working with musicians, street food, actors, stunts, pop-ups or flashmobs, or just a shared interest in waiting for the bus, you always find a way to share a little bit of your faith, and part as new friends.
Do you have a compassionate heart for refugees and are capable to teach either the English or German language (basic to intermediate) to both adults and kids? If you are a self-motivated teacher who enjoys a new challenge and wants to work toward the purpose of reaching those who have never heard the gospel before, consider using your skills with OM. Participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
In the Mother City called Cape Town you will find our team in many different places sharing the love of Christ with people. Some are on the streets in various market areas and others are at our Empowerment Centre called: Chanua. Chanua is a Swahili word meaning “Thrive”. We don’t want people to simple survive but to thrive both in a practical way and spiritually.
We befriend foreigners and neighbors from other faiths.
