Children’s Ministry Intern

Do you have a passion to serve children in full time missions?  Would you like to go to an area where people have not heard the gospel yet, but do you feel unprepared and unequipped?  Then this opportunity is for you.

As soon as possible
You will first take part in a five-month Missions Discipleship Training (MDT) in South Africa and afterwards join the children’s ministry team for Africa Area. There you will be trained and mentored to your specific needs that will prepare you for ministry.

In partnership with you, MDT, and a possible future ministry we will develop a tailor-made training programme for you. These may include:
Children’s ministry training
Children’s ministry exposure
Vision writing and strategy
Training facilitation skills
Developing training and resources for children’s ministry
Communication skills
Leadership skills
Advocacy
…and more

We require a passion for children and a good understanding of the English language.
Some experience in working with children is appreciated but not required.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

Participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
