Processing/ handling Petty Cash * Processing/ handling Bank Account * Verifying/ paying bills * Arranging/ paying bills * Invoicing internal charges * Billings to other OM fields * Month end-, year-end closing * Generating reports * Sending Reports to Country Leader, Central America Officer * Answering Finance emails * Attending Leadership meetings * Attending OM Panama meetings * Arranging Online bank transfer if is needed * Budgeting * Distribution allowance * Prepare monthly field Executive Summary report for the leadership team. * Train new staff in field finance * Provide ongoing training as necessary for existing staff * Prepare finance presentations Team meeting

· A familiarity with and experience of Financial Development or willing to learn.

· Able to manage a broad range of issues related to Financial Development through working with people.

· If possible, previous exposure to mission work, preferably OM.

· Must be able to understand the needs of OM Panama related to Financial Development and adequately represent those needs to the potential and existing partners

· Able to work well with people from different backgrounds.

· Good public relations skills and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

· Able to build strong relationships (connecting with the donor on many levels)

· Act with the utmost of integrity in all aspects of the role

· Flexible and willing to learn.

· Ability to inspire others.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

As an accountant on the mission field with OM, you will use your financial management skills toward the purpose of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached. This important role is vital to ministry on the field. As an accountant in OM, you would provide accountability for the cash transactions conducted on the field and perform duties to assist with accounting functions pertaining to bank accounts, budgets, journal entries, financial reporting and administrative changes, guided by precedent and guidelines of established polices. Participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
OM in Africa needs an assistant in their (mostly virtual) finance team. A natural organizer with an eye for detail, who loves Jesus and is passionate to serve with missionaries in Africa to see that God’s love is shared with those who have not yet heard!
This role requires a person who thinks systematically, has good computer skills, and is culturally sensitive towards the rich diversity of people across the African continent.
Our vibrant, discipleship-focused team in rural Angola needs an administrator to help us with our financial record keeping and other office-related work. This is not a full-time role and there will be opportunity for the individual to join in other ministry activities. As a bookkeeper serving on the mission field, you will provide much-needed support to the accountant on the OM team, and you will fulfil a vital ministry role toward the purpose of seeing more vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.
