Head of Fund Raising

Go & Live in

OM in Belgium is looking for a head of fundraising. We are fifty people, part of the OM family, working among the least reached in one of the world’s most technological, bureaucratic and advanced nations. Our vision is to move from a position of just breaking-even to be able to be generous partners and standard-setters.
As long as possible
Full Time
As soon as possible
When people say “if only we had money for our ministry”, you’re the one who says “well, let’s raise the money, then.” When other people are scared of fund-raising, you get excited by it. You love developing new partners for ministry. You know there are wealthy people out there who are longing to be able to invest their wealth for God’s kingdom. You know there are individuals who don’t have much, but want to give from what they have. You know that there are people who consider it a privilege to stand alongside God’s work among the least reached.

OM in Belgium is looking for a head of fundraising. We are fifty people, part of the OM family, working among the least reached in one of the world’s most technological, bureaucratic and advanced nations. We’re not seeking to live a life of luxury, but we recognise that trying to do everything as cheaply as possible is off-putting and often counter-productive. Our vision is to move from a position of just breaking-even to be able to be generous partners and standard-setters. We have a major facility in ZavCentre, which could be much more effective in supporting ministry in Belgium and worldwide if it were redeveloped to meet current requirements. We also want to see the church in Belgium grow up, and itself become a giving church, rather than a financially receiving church.

Everyone who is new to OM and has not been part of a similar programme in another organisation will spend their first year as part of our Year Programme, which will include working in their chosen ministry. This includes Bible training, language learning, and introduction to missions life and many opportunities to develop new skills and talents.

Visa: EU
Health: Reasonable adjustments can be made for disabilities
Willingness to raise personal support

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

Are you passionate about the Gospel, Africa, and Training, but have never been sure of whether your skills are needed?  Then maybe this is just the opportunity you have been looking for.

Training is an important part of our work here in Africa and we are in need of a number of people to work with our Area Training Officer (ATO).
Are you looking for an opportunity to explore your gifting and passions? Or are you a student who wants to practice their vocation in a cross-cultural setting? OM is mobilising young Jesus followers to join our international team and serve and experience ministry in Ireland. We are open to have interns come from 2 weeks to 6 months, or even up to a year! Dates are flexible, although there might be more opportunities to help in other ministries during the spring/summer.
The Gulf Arabic Program (GAP) has been equipping workers in the Arabian Peninsula with Arabic language skills for 20 years. GAP is transitioning from operating a physical location in Oman to providing online Arabic classes. A team of volunteers is needed to help with various aspects of the school including technology, legal, finance, curriculum development, teacher training, and recruitment.
