Language Specialist Dutch

OM in Belgium works in a sophisticated trilingual environment. Our ambition to plant churches, reach the unreached and mobilise believers is often limited by our capacity in language. We are looking for a language specialist in Dutch, and a language specialist in French, who can unblock these ministries and multiply our work. For Dutch, this also includes taking part in the Flemish Bible translation project.

Spelling mistakes, grammar errors, stop words and bad translation should annoy you, but, actually, they motivate you to jump in and help. You love taking dull and damaged text, setting it straight and making it shine. You love it when you can help people improve their spoken language. And you love seeing great materials which were only available in English translated so that everyone who speaks your language can enjoy them.

Are you a writer? A translator? A language coach? A proof-reader? You’re all of them at once, which is why we’ve had to give this role the prosaic title of Language Specialist. But maybe you can help us with that.
