Do you have heart to see women holistically empowered and living for Jesus? Are you experienced in community development? We are looking for someone to join the Women’s Empowerment Africa team, coordinating the growth of Self Help Groups in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Requirements

Women’s Empowerment Africa is a catalyst to see women across Africa holistically empowered, living as vibrant followers of Jesus & reproducing disciples around them. The Self Help Approach is one part of this vision. This is a full time role focusing on the development and multiplication of Self Help Groups in Africa.

This role focusses on:
People Development, Empowering existing SHA leaders and identifying new leaders, networking, and training of facilitators.

Preferred qualifications include:
Strong familiarity with and experience of community development including women’s development & empowerment.
Able to manage a broad range of issues related to women’s empowerment ministry through working with people.
Previous exposure to mission work, preferable OM.
Previous experience in SHG’s & community development
Good working knowledge of English
Able to work work remotely & in a virtual team.

Location is flexible, monthly travel within Africa is expected.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

Do you have a heart for hurting children? Hope on the Streets for Children (HSC) trains people to understand and be empowered to help street and vulnerable children. HSC is looking for people to train and facilitate others who will establish projects to help children leave the streets and prevent others from living on the streets. We mobilize the church to do this.

The Africa Trek is a hands on discipleship program that travels through Africa for 2 to 3 months at a time.

We are looking for a married couple to step into the leadership role for the Africa Trek.

Africa Trek Ministry Leaders will be over the Africa Trek ministry as well as a team of Trek Leaders.
