Accounting Software (Xledger) Deployment Facilitator

This role exists to  facilitate the deployment of finance tools and systems being rolled out across OM’s 110+ offices to help the organisation enhance its ministry of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.

This is a new position that is intended to increase capacity with the deployment of OM's accounting software.The post holder will be part of a team implementing  Xledger (accounting software) in specific OM entities.  On-the-job training will be provided by the existing team.

Requirements: must have experience in project management, preferably Finance or IT-related.
Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient in Microsoft office suite
Proven ability to work successfully with different cultures and personalities

Time required: Minimum 4 hours/week.  There would also need to be flexibility around work hours to fit in with online meetings with people in different time zones.

The job can be done remotely, from anywhere in the world, provided there is good internet connectivity.

This position is not salaried and is most suited to being filled as a volunteer.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

As an accountant on the mission field with OM, you will use your financial management skills toward the purpose of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached. This important role is vital to ministry on the field. As an accountant in OM, you would provide accountability for the cash transactions conducted on the field and perform duties to assist with accounting functions pertaining to bank accounts, budgets, journal entries, financial reporting and administrative changes, guided by precedent and guidelines of established polices. Participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
STEP out to serve and support long-term ministry and gain valuable experience. You will learn some of the local Arabic and be immersed in culture, while supporting long-termers in their ministries or in supportive roles like child-minding or home schooling. You will also be able to travel and see what life is like around the country. The aim is to learn, be exposed to many different experiences and discover how you can make a difference here!
