To bring the Gospel to the people of Japan through the application of contextual arts by:
• Developing discipling relationships
• Empowering local artists to use their gifts for God’s glory
• Bringing vibrancy to the church in worship and witness.

(Contextual art: Creating art that utilises styles, symbols, methods and meanings from the local culture that people understand and connect with at a heart level.)

Requirements

Artists we are looking for: visual art, theatre, musician, dancer, etc.

Required Competencies
I have self-awareness of my strengths and weaknesses in both my artistry and spiritual maturity.
I work well with a team.
I can give and receive constructive feedback on ministry related items and my artistry.
I connect effectively with others whether face-to-face or virtually.
I communicate effectively both orally and in writing. I am willing to learn Japanese for at least 2 years.
I am trained in my art form, whether through studies or experience.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

For an Electrical Officer we are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician (preferably in the area of Power Generation for up to 1000V) that has experience in leading and managing a Team. With a minimum of 3 years work experience. Experience in the marine industry would be an advantage but not necessary.
Good interpersonal skills and being a computer literate are vital requirements. You will need to work with MS Office, AutoCAD and a computer based Maintenance program called AMOS.
