International Management Accountant

The role exists to support all levels of leadership to make excellent financial decisions to support OM’s ministry of seeing Vibrant Communities of Jesus Followers among the least reached. 

The goal is to provide up to date, complete and easy to use Finance reports for Global and Field leadership.

It is expected that the role would require an average of one day a week provided there is flexibility around work hours to fit in with timing of online meetings. There are likely to be some peak times such as February when a year-end annual report is required promptly

This role is support based or voluntary (unpaid). 

Competencies:
* Experience and a detailed knowledge of producing finance reports.
* Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
* Strong interpersonal skills are required as this role will interact with senior OM leaders
* Able to write reports recommending changes to current structures
* A proven ability to work successfully with different personalities and cultures is important.
* The capacity to work closely with entity Finance Managers to resolve problems is important
* Able to coordinate meetings and ensure forward momentum of any changes is maintained.
* Able to take initiative for identifying and solving problems.

Member of Senior Finance Team

The location is not important provided there is good internet service as this role can be done remotely.
OM has many offices worldwide and it is possible the person could be attached to an existing OM office, but it is not essential. Work would probably be done from the person’s home.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.

As an accountant on the mission field with OM, you will use your financial management skills toward the purpose of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached. This important role is vital to ministry on the field. As an accountant in OM, you would provide accountability for the cash transactions conducted on the field and perform duties to assist with accounting functions pertaining to bank accounts, budgets, journal entries, financial reporting and administrative changes, guided by precedent and guidelines of established polices. Participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.
