As a bookkeeper serving on the mission field, you will provide much-needed support to the accountant on the OM team, and you will fulfil a vital ministry role toward the purpose of seeing more vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached. We are seeking a finance professional to join our team. As the Bookeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of our non-governmental organization (NGO). The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere.
Financial Management: Supervise and administer the financial aspects of OM in Guatemala office, including budgets, financial reports, and audits.
Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to set financial goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that OM complies with all relevant financial and tax regulations.
Resource Evaluation: Assess and manage available financial resources, including donations, grants, and internal funds.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient financial management aligned with OM objectives.
Previous experience working in finance for NGOs or nonprofit organizations (Desirable).
Solid knowledge of accounting and financial practices.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with multicultural teams.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely.
Spanish is a must.
