We invite participants who are able to come to Belgium to serve with us for periods of between 2 to 12 months. The main focus will be to grow in your walk with the Lord while helping out practically. Participants will follow a guided self-study Bible program and will be assigned a personal mentor. The program will also include skill development time for them to learn or sharpen a skill. We would ask participants to focus on a skill that will support their service to the Lord in the future as well as one that can be self-taught

Pivoters could be involved in one or more of the following depending on language, skill sets, and needs in Belgium: social media content production, digital communication, building improvements and repairs, hosting of online events, office administration, music and video recordings, housekeeping/ house maintenance, online evangelism, etc

Pivot is a program designed for individuals who are self-motivated. A mentor will guide the participant during their time with OM in Belgium, but we expect them to be disciplined to follow their own study program and goals. Participants must be comfortable in English. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus, but not required.
On site living accommodations are included, you will be living in community with other OMers from around the world at OM Belgium's main conference and office facility. The ZavCentre is currently home to 5 long-term OMers. Pivoters will be welcomed to participate in community events.
Participants will be responsible for their own catering and will use a shared kitchen to prepare meals.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at Brussels International Airport (BRU). Flight and travel costs to Belgium are not included in the outreach cost. Participants may be required to take a COVID test pre arrival and quarantine at the ZavCentre depending on current Belgian regulations. Please contact your local OM Office for travel arrangements.
Each participant is encouraged to have their own travel health insurance and be in reasonably good health.

We can accept non-Europeans based on the 90 day, visa-free travel agreement. The participant's arrival and departure from the Schengen Area WITHOUT a visa would need to fall within the 90 day period.

We are able to take participants from 2 – 12 months for Pivot. The cost above is based on the price for a three-month program. Final costs will be communicated when applicant is accepted and dates are finalized.

The Florence STEP (Short Term Exposure Program) is a unique opportunity for individuals to serve God in Florence, SC, USA at the OM Ships International campus. It is ideal for those with little, or no, missions experience and those looking to improve their English. Our desire is that participants learn and grow in their Christian walk and have their eyes and hearts opened to what God is doing through OM Ships. It is also an opportunity to seek the Lord for their next steps. We hope that each participant will leave with a better understanding of ministry and the part they have to play.
