Through running the children's program at a local festival, this team will be a support to the existing OM workers who regularly engage the community in children's ministry and evangelism. The hope is that through this outreach seeds can be sown in young hearts, and whole families can be impacted.

Creativity, passion, engagement with children and endurance will be key features of your time in Portugal! Come support local OM ministry workers in reaching out to children during the kids program at an annual food festival.
- Ministry Details
Prop and set design, puppet ministry, group games, songs and so much more – all with a deeper message of Bible principles and morals. The first days will be focused on preparation, set up and design. The second portion will be spent working at the festival and, with the team, leading the children's care section. Expect long hours and lots of fun!

''A heart for Jesus and a heart for kids'', is a phrase which describes you! Previous experience working with kids is nice, but not essential. Let us know of any special skills/gifts you may have.

Will there be accomodation provided?
Accommodation will likely be simple dormitory style at a church basement. We will inform you if it is necessary to bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
Will there be food provided?
All meals will be provided. Please let us know in advance of any dietary restrictions so we can make accommodations.
Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?
Participants are recommended to fly into Lisbon (LIS) on Nov.14, from there you will be responsible to catch a local bus to the final destination, where team members will be waiting to pick you up. For departure it is best not to book early morning flights, as it is difficult to arrange with the bus schedule.
Detailed travel instructions will be sent upon acceptance.
What should my health condition be like?
Participants should be in good health.
Do I need a visa?
Portugal is a part of the EU. Check with your local OM office for further details regarding visas.
- Notes
Kids in Portugal speak Portuguese! Some may have basic English skills, but expect there to be a language barrier and to not always have a translator right there. Communicating through body language and smiles will be a big help.
Also, Portugal is a night time culture. Expect to have late nights during the time when the festival is running.
