Learn a simple way to share the Gospel, spend time daily in worship and spiritual preparation and go out into the streets to talk to people about Jesus.

Come and join London’s Christians as we share the Gospel in their communities. London is the largest city in Europe and one of the most multicultural cities in the world, this makes it a great place to learn how to share your faith. We will join The Turning’s mission, receive their training and work in a specific borough with local Christians of all denominations to make Jesus known. Our outreach will be linked to a local church in that borough, to enable follow-up to happen. Before we go out, we will spend the evening in prayer and worship, spiritually getting ready to serve Jesus. We will do ministry on the streets of London approaching people and talking with them, blessing them, and seeing if they want to receive Jesus as their Saviour. Don’t be intimidated, you will receive training and be working with fellow-learners and those with some experience. Our pattern will be spending the evening in worship in the local church, then the following morning, we will receive training before going out.

You must be able to hold a simple conversation in English. Previous experience in ministry is not required.
Will there be accomodation provided?
You will be housed at our Training Centre located in Harlesden, Northwest London. We will provide a mattress, bedding and towel. Families (with under 18s) would need to sort their own accommodation. There are no childcare facilities. Married couples are welcome at this option, but may be required to sleep separately.
Will there be food provided?
Food will be provided at the centre and you will have the opportunity to help with cooking. We need to know in advance of any special dietary needs (vegetarian, food allergies, dairy-free, gluten free, etc.)
Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?
The nearest airport to our Training Centre is Heathrow Airport (LHR). It is also possible to fly into any of the London airports and then take a bus from those airports to London. Detailed directions to our Training Centre will be provided upon acceptance of your application. Arrival time is after 12:00 on 15 September 2023. Participants may arrive anytime in the afternoon. Departure is on 24 September 2023 after 16:00.
What should my health condition be like?
You should be in average good health and able to walk a reasonable distance without difficulty. If you think this requirement rules you out, talk to us and we will see what adjustments we may be able to make for you. You are responsible to obtain appropriate emergency health and medical insurance.
Do I need a visa?

Please check www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa.

We can arrange early arrivals or late departures by providing one extra night of accommodation if needed at £22.00 per night. The extra night of accommodation must be arranged in advance. Our purpose is to share God’s love with people. We want to equip, train and challenge Jesus followers to reflect Him and to use their God given gifts. As a result, we share hope with the people we meet along the way, investing in them and building bridges. We also hope that all participants will go away strengthened in their faith and with a deeper desire to share their faith cross-culturally.
