Be a Global Friend (BGF) is a three-month short-term mission program based in Busan, South Korea. Its purpose is to build genuine friendships with international students and scholars living in Busan and to share the Good News through hospitality and everyday fellowship. The program primarily serves master’s and doctoral students in science and engineering, researchers, visiting professors, and their families from countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and Iran. Through building genuine friendships with them as international students and their families, sharing the Good News with them, participants will gain a deeper and broader understanding of ministry among this people group and experience the joy of participating in God’s mission.

· Opportunity to understanding, their belief and their way of life: Friendship First Learn about their belief system, values, worldview and how to build genuine friendships and share the Good News with love, respect and trust. · Understanding Migration and God’s Mission Learn how God works through migration and understand His mission among migrants and international students. · A Missional Reading of the Bible & Discovery Bible Study Discover God’s mission throughout the Bible and learn how to read Scripture together and apply it to everyday life through Discovery Bible Study (DBS). l Korean Language Class Assistant l Fellowship Meals with Country-Based Groups l Campus and Home Visits l Street Evangelism / Women’s Club / Kids l Various Small Groups ( cooking, Kids, Sports…) *Sunday English Worship Service
You will need - Have a relationship with Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. - Have a love for Jesus and a desire to share your faith - Have a joyful heart to work together in teams. Be flexible and have willingness to work as a team - Have at least conversational English language ability - Have an open mind to people of other faith and cultures - Have a good physical and spiritual health
Participants must be generally in good health. Please advise us of any medical issues we should be aware of and/or Dietary restrictions. Each participant is responsible to obtain appropriate emergency health and medical insurance.
Accommodation will be provided.
Depending on schedule, meals will be provided.
You have to arrange your own flights to and from Gimhae airport, South Korea, where the BGF will happen. Pick up & drop off at Gimhae airport will be provided.
