REACH is a 5-month training program where you will be exposed to different kinds of cultures, ministries, and missions’ opportunities. A Biblical foundation for discipleship provides a structure for spiritual growth, healing, and a platform for sharing your faith. You will participate in a weekly ministry and explore where your passion and skillset can be most fruitful in God’s Kingdom while a personal coach-mentor will walk through this journey with you. You will look at the “why” and “how” of missions while learning about and interacting with other world religions. You will participate in one practical 2-week elective: (Agriculture, Kids and Youth Ministry, Biblical / Social Justice, or Business) before concluding the training with a 2-week outreach where you get to put all that you have been learning into practice somewhere amongst the least reached in South Africa.

REACH South Africa is unique because we have an exciting next step in your journey to making Jesus known among the least reached. Connexion is a 6-month internship where you gain a more specific and practical training opportunity. Where you get to serve, will depend on what you have discovered about yourself during REACH and where you feel God is calling you. (E.g. If God is calling you to the Middle East, your internship will be on a field which is already working amongst Muslims, and you might start an Arabic course. Anything to get you as well equipped as we can for the mission field!) This internship opportunity allows you to take your learning and preparation to the next level so you can move from missions exposure to missions experience and competency.

A Lionheart holiday club is a five-day event for children, held in a church. Each day there is a fast moving, entertaining two-hour programme, designed for children to enjoy themselves as they learn the truth about God and about themselves. OM’s Kids ‘n’ Things children’s ministry team works in partnership with the church members to run the club. A Lionheart holiday club can be a useful event to bring in children from the community who do not usually attend church. Our aim is then to channel these children into the ongoing children’s work of the church. Although some children may become Christians during the holiday club it is often during the ongoing contact with Christians that children make a commitment. A Lionheart club is suitable for all primary school age children (4-11 years old). Some churches run a family service at the end of the week, which the children and their families are invited to.
Do you have desire to share the Gospel, but you just don't know what to say? You want to share your faith with your schoolmates, work colleagues or local community, but you lack confidence or simply you just don't know where to start from! Well, we know exactly how you feel, we all have been there! Here is the opportunity for you to join one of our short term mission outreaches, where you will learn how to start conversations about Jesus, how to build relationships and how to share your faith cross-culturally.
The Kids ‘n’ Things Academy is our training programme for children’s workers. Through the Academy sessions, you will learn theory, theology and skills which will help you to develop in children’s ministry. You will have the opportunity to use and develop many of the skills taught in the Academy while delivering the Lionheart holiday club programme '‘Lionheart and the Ultimate Gaming Adventure’ in churches, which you will learn with the team when you arrive. You may also be able to volunteer with some of our partner organisations to get some wider experience of various children’s ministries.
