Many children in poor or rural areas in Indonesia cannot finish school or take a break from school to work to support their families. OM seeks to improve access to education for marginalised children in Indonesia through Harapan Anak Indonesian (HAI) Education Ministries, which means Child’s Hope.
HAI Ministries gives hope to children by focusing on their physical and mental wellbeing and offering two learning streams.
Supported by a home-schooling foundation, classes cover English, Mathematics, Reading and Writing. There is an alternative program for children who have dropped out of school due to financial problems so they can still study.
There are plans to expand HAI Education to help more marginalised children overcome barriers to education in Indonesia.
