Excitement is building among Doulos Hope’s crew, with just 10 more days to go until her official opening to the public in Singapore.
Over the past three months, final technical works have been ongoing on the vessel in Penang, Malaysia, while her volunteer crew have also been setting up the ship ahead of her launch on 7th May.
The major changes made to the vessel since she was acquired exactly eleven months ago are clear to see. Most noticeable is the addition of a new bookfair on her upper deck, which is now completed and fully stocked with over 2,000 book titles. These cover a wide range of topics, including science, languages, sports, hobbies, cookery, faith, children’s books and more.
The ship will leave her Malaysian berth on 28 April and is scheduled to arrive in Singapore on 2 May. Further information on the opening days to the public and ship visiting times will be made available soon.
Doulos Hope’s crew looks forward to welcoming you on board!
