Fifteen young people, who were part of TeenStreet in 2025, were invited to help with the Saturday morning programme run by the OM team in a small town three hours south of Albania’s capital city.
The teens joined a group of 50 people from five different churches to work in five teams over five weekends, ministering to children, most of whom are from Bektashi Muslim families. Each week, many of the children arrived excited to play games, meet new people from other cities and hear stories about God.
Additionally, some of the teams got involved with teenage ministry. As there are almost no teens who follow Christ in this small town, it was inspiring for the young people there, who are beginning their walks with God, to see examples of Albanian teenagers who love Jesus. This was a particularly powerful time of fellowship and worship where the local teens were inspired by the faith of the Albanian teens from other cities.
Many of the young people on the team expressed how touched they were to serve children who live in a place that is more undeveloped and removed from the modern cities of Albania.
It was the first time for many of their church leaders to be in this particular area, as three of the churches partnered with OM for the first time. It was also many of the teenagers’ first time leading a children’s game, sharing their testimony or sharing a Bible story. What a wonderful opportunity that could serve as a stepping stone to helping teens from churches across Albania become leaders that have a heart for more children to come to know Jesus.
