In early 2025, Maya* began suffering from the attacks of evil spirits. Alarmed, her family sought the help of the local Hindu witch doctor, who said, “Sacrifice four chickens, and she will be well.” Yet when they did, no relief came.
To escape from this evil grip, the family then sought the help of a Buddhist lama. Yet this priest, like the last, could not help.
Maya’s attacks increased in intensity, so her family now had to tie her hands and mouth to keep her under control. The noises Maya made in the night were so loud that the people in her village could not sleep.
With all other options tried, the village people called a local Christian pastor to see if he could help. Upon his arrival, the evil spirit got angry, but the believers were able to take Maya to the church and began praying for her.
The spirit resisted, so more believers, local pastors, and OM workers joined to pray. They continued that day until 11pm, but the spirit still did not leave. The next morning, the believers gathered again to pray, and the evil spirit finally left Maya. After seeing Jesus’ power, Maya immediately put her faith in Jesus, along with her husband, son, and daughter-in-law.
Two days later, people from Maya’s village approached Maya and asked, “Why did you believe in Jesus?”
The woman was ready to share why: “The Hindu and Buddhist gods could not help me, but Jesus did! I have seen His power, that is why we have believed in Him.”
