Originally from the beautiful city of Clermont-Ferrand, France, Elisabeth left behind her familiar surroundings and peaceful routine to move to Pontault-Combault, France. Why? Because she sensed God calling her there.

A passion for sharing the good news of Christ led Elisabeth to participate in outreaches across Africa, offering hands-on support to local teams. God surprised her more than once — opening doors to places she never imagined she would visit.

Inspired by teenagers

Elisabeth’s journey with OM began at church, when she met a group of young people who attended a week-long TeenStreet event in Germany. In 2018, Elisabeth felt prompted to volunteer at the event and joined the prayer team. It turned out to be a life-changing experience.

“I was deeply moved by the way the gospel was shared with young people — with seriousness, depth and creativity. And the unity within the prayer team was something special. We carried the needs of the young people and the teams before God, day and night. Every year, I couldn’t wait to return to TeenStreet.”

In 2023, a new chapter began. A friend from church returned from a trip to Moldova and told Elisabeth about an urgent need for help at the OM office in Pontault, in the suburbs of Paris, adding, “You know, I can really see you there.”

Elisabeth went to see for herself — and when she arrived, she felt it: this was where God was calling her.

Living out missions in everyday life

Today, Elisabeth is slowly discovering the vast world of OM and the many different ways to serve God’s Kingdom. She loves sharing opportunities with others who are looking for direction in their lives.

One dream she carries in her heart is to support Afghan women — a project still on hold. In the meantime, she goes out twice a week to speak about Jesus with Muslims on the streets. She’s also hoping to launch literacy classes in partnership with a local church in Montreuil.

In her current role with OM in France’s personnel department, Elisabeth supports French workers preparing to go overseas, helping with the admin, staying in touch with home churches and pastors and walking alongside OMers spiritually. She also keeps in regular contact with those already on the mission field through emails and phone calls.

“It’s a privilege to witness their dedication and their sincere love for people who do not yet know God,” she said.
