“I honestly cannot find the right words to describe what I felt when I held the very first printed copy of My First Bible in Nyagbo in my hands,” Tatiana expressed.
One year ago, Tatiana, who serves with Wycliffe in Ghana, envisioned providing children’s Bibles in the heart language of people groups living in remote parts of the country. Since then, she has dedicated her time to working with several people to translate, design and print the Bibles in four languages: Avatime, Nyagbo, Logba and Tafi.
As of 2026, MediaWorks has published My First Bible in over 30 languages in several countries. When Tatiana, who is originally from Russia, heard about these Bibles, she reached out to MediaWorks to help adapt them to reflect the Ghanaian culture. The process involved translating each language, obtaining copyright licenses and sourcing the best and most affordable local printers. Excited to partner on the project, MediaWorks assisted Tatiana in securing the copyrights and designing the cover to reflect the local culture. Every step in the process required a financial cost, which Tatiana and her team covered through fundraising.
Reflecting on the journey of producing the Bibles, Tatiana sees that each book carries the work and dedication of so many people — local translators, designers, the printing team and everyone who contributed financially to make the vision a reality. “All of this, so that children in a remote part of Africa can open a book and read about their Creator and the incredible Bible stories many of us grew up with… but now in their own heart language,” Tatiana shared.
Please pray for the children receiving My First Bible in their language, that they may come to know God’s love for them more deeply.
