Cindy Haidar

Cindy started her career as a research scientist at the Department of Medicine, Monash University. As a postdoctoral fellow, she was awarded a Victoria Fellowship from the State Government for her role in identifying that an enzyme critical to blood clot formation in patients at high risk of heart attacks or stroke.

Cindy later transitioned into operational roles in e-commerce, higher education and not-for-profit sectors. From 2015-2017 Cindy was responsible for projects and partnerships at GMP, the global missions and aid arm of the Churches of Christ.

Over this time, Cindy has developed an appreciation for the interdependency of using rigorous data, leadership instinct and faith when translating organisational vision and strategy. She is also an accredited Foster Carer who wants to see relationships restored through the practical expression of God’s love in her local community.

John Peberdy

John commenced a 37 year insurance career in 1973 with Ansvar Insurance. He started as a Junior Clerk in the Adelaide office and finished his service with that company in 2010, having been the CEO for Australia for 11 years

Since that time, John has served on a number of Christian and corporate boards, including the Boards of mission organisations Global Interaction and Mobile Mission Maintenance. He has also trained as a mentor and business coach, taught in the Asian program with the Australian Insurance Institiute (ANZIIF) and completed a number of consulting projects for a breadth of organisations.

John’s passion is to see the organisations serving God thrive through a clear vision and strategy and to ensure the implementation is delivered with a clear understanding of God’s purpose in the work we do.

Tony Morgan

Tony Morgan has worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years, helping thousands of people and businesses recover from loss. He has held a number of leadership roles including President of the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, President of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (Australasian Division) and Australia CEO of a global loss adjusting company known as Cunningham Lindsey Australia.

He is a Fellow of five professional bodies including CPA Australia and the Australia Institute of Company Directors. He chairs the Board of Elders of Community Church Hornsby and is a Director of companies forming the Pacific Hills Christian Education Group. His passion is to see the Kingdom of Heaven – with its love, justice, truth, joy and healing power – fill the earth.

Sam Farmilo

Sam currently completing a Master of Theology and spends a lot of her time trying to better understand who God is and in light of that who we are becoming and how we are to be living in this world. She is married to Murray and they have two kids.

Jason Holmes

Jason Holmes began his insurance career with an international broker back in 1995, and over the last 20 years he has looked after both commercial and corporate clients along all product lines.  As business owner and managing director at H2 Insurance Solutions, Jason specialises in insurance for the entertainment and conference & exhibition industries, as well as the prize & contingency industry.

He prides himself on understanding the unique needs of his clients, in order to ensure their specifications are met and expectations are exceeded.  Jason is a family man who works hard, plays hard, and is always ready to rock.

Edi Stephenson – Chair

Edi joined the staff at Crossway Baptist church nine years ago as a pastor and oversees the prayer and missional community departments at Crossway. She completed her M.A. at Tabor in church practice. She and Dale have been mentoring pastoral couples across the denominations for the past five years.

In 2019 she along with Dale is involved with rolling out a program called Building a Discipling Culture (BDC) to seek to play a small part in waking the “sleeping giant” called Australian Christianity to again steward the gospel fruitfully.

She has a passion for evangelism and to see the church as individuals embracing their God given mandate to be on mission wherever God has placed them.
