Matthew* came to TeenStreet from a broken home carrying pain, confusion and concern about where his life was heading. He was struggling with things in his life that were beyond his control, and those struggles were beginning to lead him down a path that could have had deeply negative, lifelong consequences.
Concerned about where his life was heading, he decided to talk with a friend. Over the previous months, he had noticed a real change in his friend’s life. Curious about what had caused such a transformation, Matthew asked him about it and wondered if the same kind of change might be possible for him. His friend shared that he had given his life to Christ and invited him to come to TeenStreet.
During his time at TeenStreet, Matthew wrestled with what he was hearing about grace, forgiveness and the possibility that God might have a future for him greater than the one he could see for himself. It was there that he made the decision to follow Jesus.
After TeenStreet, we followed up with Matthew to see how he was going. He shared that his decision to follow Jesus had completely transformed his life. He also shared that just as someone had helped lead him to Jesus, he now wanted to help lead others to Him as well.

Brooke* came to TeenStreet wanting to learn how to share Christ with others, but she wasn’t sure where to begin. One of the things that impacted her most was the practical workshop on evangelism. Afterwards, sharing the gospel felt less daunting, and she came away with a stronger confidence to speak about Jesus with others.
Back in her school community, Brooke shared the gospel in her home group and passed on what she had learnt in a middle school Bible study run by her and two friends. In 2025, she invited three friends to come with her to TeenStreet, and this year she’s hoping to invite at least 10 more.
As Brooke shared, “TeenStreet truly reminds teenagers that they can be used for God’s kingdom in wonderful ways and that they are called to be salt and light in this world.”
